Math, Movement, & Me

Math, Movement, & Me™ is an exercise based enrichment program for PreK-5th graders. It is a program designed to teach children the importance of health and wellness and how starting good health habits at an early age can greatly influence health patterns for individuals in the future. Our partners, Hamlett Health Circle™, provide programming that uses techniques of movement education to help children better learn basic life skills. This program teaches Children the alphabet, phonics, counting, arithmetic, health and wellness, name recognition, self-confidence, and critical thinking skills.

Our Program emphasizes the importance of mastering basic arithmetic skills necessary for school, educational development, and life application. Children deserve our best efforts. The Tennessee child obesity numbers and the recently published testing information concerning our children's ability to compete globally are markers that remind us that we need "all hands on deck" to help our little one's. We need a dramatic shift in focus and principle. Debates over school lunch programs, debates over the "appropriate" activity levels for children, and the rise in food allergy related illnesses, are prime reasons for increased awareness concerning the health of our children. It is time for action!

Teach children to make wise choices today because decisions today affect the results of tomorrow.

Hamlett Health Circle™ is committed to being a leader in the conversation of "How do we make quality of life better for our children?" Movement education is a proven effective method for improving child developmental motor skills. We believe that action steps can be taken to dramatically affect the disciplines associated with reinforcing basic early childhood developmental skills. Research continues to remind us that the more exposure a child has to math principles at an early age, the more likely children are to do well and be more comfortable with math principles in the future.

We believe that a child's future success as a productive member of society is based on the structure of the environment throughout their critical developmental years. Learning can be fun, frustrating, exciting, and refreshing all at the same time. Keeping these principals in mind, PEPP™ is proud to partner with Hamlett Health Circle™ to provide an environment for children that is safe, health conscience, and educationally based.
